Obesidad y sobrepeso Infantil

La obesidad ha llegado a convertirse en el trastorno nutricional más frecuente durante la infancia y adolescencia, y está considerada como la enfermedad crónica no transmisible más prevalente en el mundo.

Las causas pertenecen a varios aspectos como a la genética(el mínimo de los casos), al aspecto ambiental, costumbres familiares, psicológicos y socioeconómicos.

El más importante de todas estás causas son las ambientales.

Esto implica los malos hábitos y el sedentarismo de estos tiempos.

 

Esto se traduce al consumo frecuente de productos envasados, tanto salados(snacks, comida rápida como super sandwichs, pollos fritos, galletas saladas, etc), así  como productos dulces(golosinas, galletas con relleno, chocolates, bebidas azucaradas que se promocionan como néctares naturales, cuando en realidad son bebidas altamente azucaradas y llenas de químicos de industria alimentaria, etc), de la mano con publicidad engañosa de parte de estas compañías, usando términos como "naturales", "esenciales", "light", "dan energía", etc, que incentivan a que los propios padres adquieran estos productos para sus hijos niños y adolescentes, como parte de su esquema de alimentación, como en loncheras, como premio, como postre, como productos en la alacena de la cocina, al alcance libre de sus hijos.

 

Observo en el supermercado cada vez que voy de compras, y veo los coches de compras de algunas familias con gran cantidad de éstos productos envasados, galones de "jugos de néctar de durazno", o de bebidas sabor a naranja supuestamente "naturales", o llenos de paquetes de galletas con relleno "de oferta", cajas grandes de cornflakes, litros de helados; subo la mirada y un niño con sobrepeso empuja su coche contento y al lado su madre con obesidad grado 1 o 2. Se imaginan ¿no?. Es muy frecuente, observe usted también o mejor observe su propio coche.

 

A este PROBLEMA, se unen malos hábitos en casa: niños y adolescentes horas y horas sentados frente al televisor, a la pc en internet, al wi, al play,.....además no les gusta el deporte(SEDENTARIOS),  ni las verduras(NO CONSUMEN FIBRA).

Y cómo si fuera poco, llega el sábado y domingo...comer todo el día en la calle......"la cajita feliz", "la cajita con juguete del personaje de moda de disney", las papas fritas, la super pizza familiar, etc.

 

Estas familias están formando futuros diabéticos, hipertensos, cardíacos, hemipléjicos por accidente cerebrovascular, pacientes oncológicos, etc...y que posiblemente tengan su diagnóstico de diabetes tipo2 a los 20 años, o de hipertensión a los 30, o infarto al corazón antes de los 40 años, o cáncer de cólon siendo adulto joven, sólo por decir algunos ejemplos que las estadísticas epidemiológicas nos informan ultimamente, en nuestro país y el mundo.

 

Muchas de éstas familias que hemos descrito tienen niños pequeños con trastornos metabólicos, con prediabetes, con colesterol/triglicéridos alto, Y NO LO SABEN, porque no dan síntomas, pero ya están dañando órganos silenciosamente.

 

También es cierto que hay niños y adolescentes que tienen la tendencia a hacer estos problemas más temprano que otros chicos de su misma edad, por genética. Y COMO SABERLO?

 

Con la evaluación temprana se detectarán estos problemas y se revertirán.

Recuerde que nuestros hijos aprenden con el ejemplo nuestro. Son nuestros reflejos.

 

Lo lamentable sería que existieran padres que después de haber leído este artículo y que tienen un niño o adolescente con éstos hábitos, no los lleven a una evaluación, o que quieran hacerse los ciegos y no quieran reconocer este problema.

I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, however suppose you added something that grabbed people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda plain. You should look at Yahoo's front page and see how they create news titles to grab people to click. You might add a related video or a pic or two to get people excited about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it would make your posts a little livelier.
